Aaron began working in the landscape industry in 1998 at age 19. He enjoyed the hard work and satisfaction of a job well done on a beautiful yard that he helped to create. This led him to enroll at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette to major in landscape and horticulture management. Aaron started Superior Landscapes after purchasing a small irrigation service company. He quickly became known for rapid response and elite service. From this client base, he began to branch out into landscape installation. When Grass Roots Landscape Company, a 40 year old landscape company, came available for purchase in 2020, Aaron saw an opportunity to expand his market share and his great client list. He bought the company and began to do business as Grass Roots. With an exceptional eye for detail and quality, he has continued the tradition of providing timely service, and beautiful new landscapes for his clients. His focus remains on customer satisfaction and service after the job is done.

Founder / Landscape Architect
Rusty founded Grass Roots Landscape Company in 1980. He holds a degree in Landscape Architecture from LSU and obtained his professional license in 1978. He remains as the resident Landscape Architect and Project coordinator for Grass Roots. He is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, active in LNLA, Trees Acadiana, Kiwanis of Acadiana, Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, DLU, AHBA, and a graduate of Leadership Lafayette IV.
